During the round-table discussion, the Head of Leszno University Delegation, Rector Maciej Pietrzak, first of all presented the history of their university. He mentioned that although the University has a history of twenty years, it has already managed to gain great reputation and recognition in Poland, and throughout the European region. To this was a contribution the University's convenient location and harmonious location of all infrastructures as well, and favorable conditions for students. The Rector Maciej Pietrzak also added that while establishing the University it was taken into consideration the organization of students' education with little financial opportunities in their native city, although the university has many students from different cities and countries.
Then Maciej Pietrzak presented four main directions of cooperation with Northern University: staff exchange within the framework of Erasmus + program, providing joint diplomas, expanding economic ties, and strengthening scientific cooperation.
After the round-table discussion, the guests had a trip to Garni Temple and Geghardavank. Tomorrow they will deliver three lectures. Entrance is free only for education addicted people.
Leszno University delegation at Northern University
Day 1
The first meeting with our respectable guests took place at the Rector B. Makichyan's room. The agenda included meeting-acquaintance: as it happens in such cases, the representatives of both sides greet each other, smile to each other, drink a glass of Armenian wine or brandy, and then exchange gifts if they are available. Everything according to the agenda. The rest was in the context of Armenian-Polish centuries-old friendship: warm conversation, exchange of impressions, admiration words about our nation. After the acquaintance, our Polish colleagues went to the training hall to hold a roundtable discussion.
Northern University expands its international cooperation
Tomorrow, on September 11, the delegation from Jan Amos Komenski State School of Higher Education in Leszno, headed by the University’s Rector, will arrive to Northern University on a working visit.
According to the previously reached agreement, the members of the delegation will meet with Northern University management and administrative staff, students and will discuss a number of issues related to the further cooperation.
Particularly, within the framework of the “Erasmus+” program, issues of student and staff mobility between universities and double diplomas providing will be discussed.
During the three-day visit, Polish colleagues will deliver lectures for students and lecturers, will get acquainted with the University and its subdivisions. Strict working visit will be interrupted by the excursions to the historic and cultural sites of Armenia. Polish colleagues have expressed the great wish to visit Lake Sevan, Garni Temple and Geghardavank , as well as to the University of Sanahin. During the last visit, Leszno University delegation will also visit the second branch of Northern University in Alaverdi, in order to meet with the students and lecturers.
What can we say is only “Welcome to Sunny Armenia”.
